Intern
The Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce is looking for motivated and outgoing individuals to join our team as paid Interns. In this position, you will participate in work such as event planning and execution, community management, member engagement, digital design and marketing, and administrative tasks.
Potential responsibilities:
- Work alongside our office staff on member-related programs and events
- Assist with digital media presence (social media, email newsletters, and website content updates)
- Gain first-hand experience in community outreach and member service.
- Assist with other general office tasks
Staff will work with candidates to create a job description and duties that match the candidate's interests and skills.
Position Requirements:
- Ability to identify, organize, and analyze data
- Excellent oral / written communication
- Professional demeanor and dress
- Interest in event planning
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.), CRM databases, Canva (if working in digital design)
- Comfort interacting with a diverse range of individuals/organizations
- Located in Central Texas and able to report to the GAACC office for at least one shift per week (a mix of on-site and remote work is acceptable)
- Availbility to work 15-30 hours per week
The Intern position is contingent upon having a valid work authorization in the United States. This is an paid internship. There is no employment entitlement at the end of the internship. For academic purposes, we are able to provide required documents as needed for course credit at the end of the internship experience.
