    GAACC is looking to fill the positions described in detail below. These positions require knowledge of Asian Pacific American (APA) communities and familiarity with Asian cultures. These are full-time positions that require some evening obligations. Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills. We provide paid time off, full health insurance coverage, mileage reimbursement, flexible work conditions, and growth opportunities while serving the APA community.

    Member Relations Specialist

    GAACC is looking for an enthusiastic, people-first, multi-tasking individual to manage our member experience and all our all external activities.

    Under minimal supervision, this position's primary duty is being the main point of contact between the Chamber and both members and potentials members. They must also recruit Chamber membership investments to prospective non-member businesses, organizations, and individuals by communicating the benefits of the Chamber and providing detailed information on various programs offered through the Chamber, and orienting the members to the Chamber. This position reports directly to and works under the direction of the CEO.

    The specialist maintains the member database so that it is accurate which requires attention to detail and comfort with technology. The specialist executes member programs such as the women’s club, ambassadors, discounts; plans member events such as orientations and ribbon cuttings; and engages with members throughout the year to ensure membership recognition and use of their member benefits according to each membership level.

    Additionally, the specialist will serve as our external relations liaison, engaging with the larger community of both APA and mainstream organizations. The specialist will professionally represent GAACC to the public for membership and/or partnership on events or programs. This requires detailed knowledge of GAACC's current initiatives and an ability to envision mutually beneficial solutions.

    This is a crucial position as our primary focus is to serve our members. The coordinator must have a true desire to do so. This requires genuine curiosity about our members and interest to learn about their needs.



    1. Monitor and respond to all incoming membership correspondence through phone, mail, or email in a timely manner 
    2. Be the main point of contact between members and the Chamber.
    3. Prospect and recruit Chamber memberships and corporate sponsorships to local businesses and organizations
    4. Maintain a monthly log of contacts and potential members, to be provided to the CEO prior to monthly Executive Board meetings
    5. Responsible for meeting and supporting our Ambassadors and Membership Committees regularly
    6. Promptly and effectively respond to prospects inquiring about membership in the Chamber 
    7. Attend relevant Chamber functions and other functions and meetings specifically requested by the CEO for the purpose of networking and recruiting
    8. Assist in planning and hosting member events and major Chamber events
    9. Participate as an active member of the Chamber staff, which is a positive and dynamic team dedicated to exceeding customer expectations



    1. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, possess excellent time management skills, and be comfortable dealing with a broad spectrum of business industries and people
    2. Able to succeed with little supervision
    3. Ability to prospect new businesses and to upgrade and recruit members
    4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, computer skills and organizational skills.
    5. Valid Driver’s License
    6. Previous membership experience and knowledge of the Austin Asian community is a plus
    7. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior level executives

  • Executive Administrator 

    GAACC is looking for a motivated and outgoing individual to manage office operations and all our internal activities. 

    Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Administrator is passionately committed to advancing the mission of our organization and provides comprehensive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to the CEO & President and serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors and oversees special projects.

    The Executive Administrator's responsibilities include managing calendars, managing the membership list, keeping records, and preparing grant applications, and supporting membership and networking events. This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Executive Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within a small, fast-paced environment that is mission-focused, results-driven, and customer service oriented. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our Chamber of Commerce by providing personalized and timely support to our CEO.



    1. Acts as a liaison with the Board of Directors, Committees, other departments, affiliates, and external partners; handling confidential and non-routine information
    2. Anticipate CEO’s needs, as well as plan, prioritize and organize the activities, offering a “gatekeeper” & “gateway” support, creating win-win situations for direct access to CEO’s time
    3. Provide sophisticated calendar management; prioritize inquiries and requests, troubleshoot conflicts with little guidance, make judgments and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements
    4. Proactively, create CEO’s travel plans, prepare detailed itineraries, agendas, and compiling documents for travel-related meetings and speaking engagements; includes timely completion of expense and mileage reports
    5. Rack expenses and prepare weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports
    6. Creative writing for CEO’s speaking engagements, scripts for events, external meetings
    7. Act as an office manager by keeping up with office supply inventory, organize and maintain the office filing system
    8. Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports, 
    9. Take minutes during meetings
    10. Screen and direct phone calls and distribute correspondence
    11. Proactively prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matter expeditiously and follows through on requests to successful completion with attention to details; often with deadline pressures 
    12. Work with a diverse group of key executives internal and external in addition to employees and customers. Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization



    1. Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
    2. Preferred marketing and creative writing skills, with high level of imagination and visual narration capabilities
    3. High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including executive leadership team and staff, Board of Directors, corporate executives, MBEs, and partners.
    4. Technically advanced and capable in scheduling and hosting virtual meetings using zoom, teams & others, seamlessly
    5. Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability and emotional maturity
    6. Highly resourceful team-player, act with a sense of urgency and ability to also be extremely effective independently
    7. Advanced knowledge of MS office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media platforms, interactive presentation tools like Canva, Prezi preferred
    8. Forward looking thinker, highly agile, actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
    9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative, multi-task; effectively manage up
