This month's Biz Essentials Workshop session is all about Minority-Owned Business (MBE) Certification and is presented by The City of Austin’s Small & Minority Business Resources Department (SMBR).
As the Austin Metropolitan area continues to grow at a rapid rate, more and more opportunities emerge for large contracts and procurement by organizations committed to supporting certified businesses. Certification is the door for small enterprises to get noticed, stand out from the crowd, and secure new business opportunities.
Together with the City of Austin, GAACC is committed to support and empower our member businesses and the Pan-Asian community. Attend this workshop to learn all about certification for Minority-Owned Business (MBE), Women-Owned Business (WBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE/ACDBE), and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). By the time you complete this workshop, you will understand how to do business with the City of Austin, the State of Texas, and how to become eligible for Federal contracts.
Benefits of certification include:
- Priority access to government contracting opportunities
- Eligibility to participate on goal-oriented contracts
- Networking opportunities
- Listing in the City of Austin’s Certified Online Directory
- Access to online educational resources (Govology)
