• Join GAACC Committee

We are taking applications for members who want to serve on our committees. Each committee is chaired by a GAACC director. Service commitment is for the calendar year 2021. Serving in any of these capacities is a pathway to serving on the board. Note: you must be a member in good standing to participate.

Committees and their composition and areas of responsibilities are listed below. (Meeting time and cadence might be subject to change)

This committee is chaired by Kannan Kaliyur, and meets on the first Thursday of the month from noon to 1:00 PM.

The board takes into account member input then votes on whether to adopt the recommendations. The committee also plans any advocacy events, such as APA Business Day at the Capitol, receptions for elected officials, etc. This committee is chaired by Khotan Shahbazi-Harmon and meets on the first Wednesday of the month at noon.

  • Ambassadors

Ambassadors are GAACC members on steroids! They attend orientations, ribbon cuttings and mixers. They are so special that they get their pictures on our website. They let people know about our programs and resources, and act as a buddy for new members, reaching out to the newbie, personally inviting them to an upcoming event, and introducing them to other members.
