    Event Description:

    Do you know what to do when the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division pays a visit? This Division is responsible for administering and enforcing federal laws on basic labor standards. It may conduct investigations and gather data to determine an employer’s compliance with the law. Where violations are found, it will recommend changes in employment practices to bring an employer into compliance.
     
    The presenter for this workshop is Brenda Hernandez with the U. S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division. Brenda current role is a Community Outreach and Resource Planning Specialist for the Austin District Office. Brenda is responsible for assisting in planning, organize, facilitate compliance assistance, stakeholder engagement and outreach in 33 counties in Central Texas.

    • Record keeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standard Act
