This women's club gathering will be a candid conversation about Asian Pacific American (APA) women in leadership roles here in Central Texas. According to a study
published by the Ascend Foundation, out of all gender and racial groups APA women are the least likely to become executives.
We want to hear about the barriers you might be facing as you advance in your career, or build your business, or in your civic engagement efforts. Has your Asian cultural heritage helped or hindered? Have you been judged more harshly than your male counterparts?
Leaders who have overcome these obstacles can share how they have navigated their paths to sucess so far. We also want to hear suggestions on what GAACC can do to support more APA women to become leaders.
Registration fee is $15 and includes light lunch. Non-members are welcome to attend. Your $30 fee includes associate membership. Everyone must pre-register by Monday, June 3.
